I continue to search for my elusive grandfather, Edwin Wesley BLACK. There now seems to be no such person as his marriage license lists him as William Edward, married Esther Belle CREASEY in Mitchell, Davison County, SD. He claimed to have been born in May of 1873 in Marshall, MO and that his parents, William and Martha, came from Kentucky and W. Virginia via Scotland. There is no record of his having been born in Missouri ... William or Edwin, whichever. He is buried in Lyman County, SD and was a railroad man and later, a farmer. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone? One can only hope.
