Hi, I don't know if our lines cross paths or not, but found it very interesting that you have a Sidney BLACK in your group.
My husband's gg grandfather was Samuel Sidney BLACK and the Sidney has been passed as far down as my father-in-law. They are the only Sidney BLACK'S I've seen until now. His line is: David BLACK, Sr. b.1782 SC, m. Sarah?, moved from SC in the 1830's to Mt. Yonah, Habersham County, GA where they lived until they died. Children:
*James Osborne BLACK b. 1820 SC m. 1842 to Winney PAYNE d/o Rev. Thomas PAYNE. James died in the Civil War
*Samuel Sidney BLACK b.1826 SC moved from Habersham County GA to Maury County, TN in the 1840's m. 1.Sarah JACKSON 2. Sarah TINDELL
*David S. BLACK b.1835 GA moved to Maury County, TN m. Margaret HALL/HALE
*Edy BLACK
*Mary BLACK
