Are there any members of the "Black Family" in GA. All I get is KY,PA, searching in Ireland & etc.

I am in search of descendents of Nathaniel Black & Elizabeth Derrick. The folowing:

Nathaniel S Black b 02 June 1840 Upson Cty., GA died 14 May 18563 in Jackson MS married Elizabeth??

Confederate army Service, Co A, 46th Reg. Ga Vol. Infgantry 'Upson Sentinels" (Upson County) Black,NS Private 4 Mar. 1862. Killed near Jackson, MS 14 May 1863.

Black Family:

Caswell Marion Black-son of John Thomas Blck & Faitha Meadows- he married Elizabeth M Derrick, Henry County, GA 19 Dec 1854. Henry County Marriage Book, Ga. State Archives.
Caswell died 26 Nov. 26 1856, Henry County, GA in what was called Bear Creek, now known as Hampton, GA.
source" History of Henry County, GA"

After Caswell died his brother
Nathaniel married Elizabeth Derrick Black. Elizabeth is given on Ga 1860 census as living in the house of her father Andrew Derrick, Henry Cty., GA., with a child 1yr of age.

This was the child of Nathaniel. Since Nathaniel was killed in the Civil War we do not believe there were any other children of this marriage. We do not believe there were any children of Caswell & Elizabeth as Caswell died 2ys after they married and the child given on the 1860 census was only 1yr. so it had to belong to Nathaniel.

Does any "Black Family" member happen to know any possible info on the continued descendents of this Nathaniel Black and his wife Elizabeth Derrick Black?

This family begins with:

Skip Richardson Black & Mary Brown.

They moved to NC and then to Eatonton, GA. While in Putnam Cty., 1823 Thomas married Faitha (Taitty) Meadows (1805-1858). They moved to Upson Fty., GA and settled at "The Rock". There they reared nine children

James Richardson
Caswell Marion
William
Sidney
Permelia
John
Nathaniel
Cary
Susan

Thoms was tax collector several terms and Judge of the Inferior Court. Thomas gave each of his children a plantation in Upson Cty. on the occasion of their marriage. Some plantations are still owned by his g grandchildren.

Nathaniel, William & Cary served in the Civil war. James R mamaged a Confederate shoe factory. According to the history of Henry County, GA Caswell M. Black was 1/2 owner of the largest Mercantile Store in Henry County, GA in 1856 at the time of his death.

Is any of this family left in GA? Would any of this family have any furthur information on Caswell & Nathaniel? Did they just disappear? I have received info from Barbara Ray and she has received info from Timothy T. Turner.

They have been most gracious and kind. Any furthur info is much appreciated and welcome.

Shirley
