My gr. gr. grandfather's name was John Black and married a Mary Ann ?(maiden name unknown)! They were supposedly both born about late1770's to early 1780's. John was killed in a hunting accident somewhere in Virginia in late 1790's. They had 2 known children, son George, daughter Elizabeth. Mary and 2 small children joined up with a wagon train and moved to TN in 1798. Settled just south of TN/KY border. Mary remarried to a widower named Jesse Rippy. Mary died 22nd Dec. 1876 in Sumner Co. TN. George married Eliza Anderson and had 11 children. My grandfather Andy Anderson Black, father Andy Preston Black. Any information at all appreciated!
