Hi Vicki, Where have you been.? Except for Shorty Baker was beginning to wonder if there was anyone on line connected to this family. I come down from Jane V. Crane , my gr, gr, grandmother , through her daughter Hester Fredonia Ashley that married John Thomas Collum. in 1862.
After the death of Hester Fredonia called Felice , Jane took My granfather, Benjamin Franklin and his youger Brother, Napolean Louis to live with her. John Thomas Collum remarried and when my grandfather was 12 his father went to bring him home. Nap remained with Jane until he was grown. They had an older brother named Walter. Do you know anything about Jane V. and what name the V was for?
I know very little about this family and am anxious to learn any thing I can. I do have some notes about the twins somewhere. It seems they were very long lived and were at one time the oldest living twins in Oklahoma will see if I can find this article. I have looked for Cranes for years and finally last year found that I was looking for Martin Crane and Frances"Fannie" Black. Do you have any information on them? In the mean while would appreciate any thing you can add. You can E-mail ne at . So glad to find another connection.
