Thanks for your quick reply. I'm afraid I don't match the Carl Black you referenced. I was born in Sheffield, AL and have spent most of my life in Florida. My father and two generations before him were born in Coffee Co., TN. My line of Blacks had previously been in York Co., SC with my Robert Black dying there in 1811. I have not found where he was buried yet.

Family tradition says that my Robert Black's parents imigrated to America from Northern Ireland in the first half of the 1700's. I just have to find and/or confirm their names.

I am doing volunteer work indexing cemeteries in Florida as a part of the FLGenWeb Project a part of the USGenWeb Project. It is a non-commercial all volunteer organization. I am trying to give back information for others to use, since others have been so helpful to me.
