This Robert Black may be your family, but I have discovered that my Robert Black was the son of William Black of Abbeville Co, SC. He (Robert) married Margaret Buse of Abbeville Co., and then removed to Georgia. After Robert's death, Margaret moved with two sons and two daughters to Attala Co., MS. She is buried in Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery along with a whole passel of Blacks, Landrums, Carrs, etc. Supposedly William was Scots-Irish and came to the US from Ireland. I have not been able yet to get beyond William, so do not know when they came or where in Ireland they came from, but I suspect Ulster Plantation. Are you the Carl Black from Jackson, MS. If so, we are kin.
