All I know is that John Milton Black's son John Robert Black moved away from home when he was 14, bought and sold Cattle in Chicago and Kansas and Sold land in Florida and Nebraska, but bought a large farm piece in Iowa where he had his family.... so I am not sure if his folks were in Iowa at the time, or if that is where he settled. He was mad at his parents when he moved out of the house, so he could have taken off to Iowa from really anywhere. But my first try would be Iowa.
