I'm looking for information on my Great Great Grandfather, Jackson Black.
He was born in North Carolina in 1812 and died in 1906 in Clark Co.,
Illinois. He married Rebecca Gray, daughter of Thomas Gray. Jackson and
Rebecca had 5 children (that I'm aware of). Their children are: Dovey,
John, Benjamin F., Perry and Sarah Jane. According to Jackson's obituary,
his grandfather was named Thomas but there is no mention of his fathers
name. Other than the obituary, I have been unable to find any record of
Jackson's parents or grandparents. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.
