Andy,

I have been researching the BLACK lines in Indiana Co. PA. I have been
collecting data on Solomon's line to determine if he is related to the other
BLACK lines in the county. I haven't gotten any further back than you have.

I descend from David Black and Annis Young that lived in Conemaugh Twp.
Indiana Co., PA. There is another line in the area Jonathan Black and Sarah
Bratton. These two might actually be related but that is yet to be
determined. Solomon Black appears in the 1850 census as a blacksmith.

What township in Butler Co. did this John reside? I think I remember seeing
five in 1850 census for Butler Co.

Thanks

Dwight Allshouse
