I have a George Washington Black. He was my great grandfather. I have his birthday as May 1851. He married Mary Jane Eskew(Askew, Escue) seen it different ways. Her family was from Walker and Gordon Counties of Georgia. He lived in Gordon and Floyd County, GA. He is buried at the Mt. Tabor UMC Cem. in Everett Springs, GA. They had the following children: Arthur, Jame Cleophas, (my grandfather), Charlie(lived on Sand Mt., Alabama) Harold, Chester, and Annie Bell. I do know that there are some Blacks in Gordon Co., GA that we feel is related to this line but have not been able to connect. If this sounds like it might fit with any of your lines please get back in touch.
