My info on Orval Oscar Black: b February 17, 1911 Father Eugene Black b October 10, 1875 Jackson Twp. Paulding Co OH, d April 13, 1939, Lima, Allen Co OH. Mother Bessie Annabelle Spohn b April 27, 1884, Amanda Twp. Allen Co OH, d April 14, 1937 Lima, Allen Co OH, m August 30, 1902, Van Wert, Van Wert Co OH. There were 5 children: Norman Carl Black b December 18, 1903, Wilber Lantin Black b November 14, 1906, Crawford Kenneth Black b March 27, 1908, Paul Leonard Black b April 01, 1913, Orval Oscar Black b February 17, 1911.
Eugene’s parents were William Black b March 08, 1835, Richland Co OH, d December 12, 1914, and Margaret Like b November 13, 1839 Perry Co OH d May 22, 1906 Jennings Twp. OH. They had 7 children (I have those if you’re interested in them).
Bessie’s parents were George Washington Spohn b Abt. August 01, 1846, Shawnee Twp. Allen Co OH d November 07, 1894, Lima, Allen Co OH and Sara Coats b February 26, 1862, Hardin Co OH d October 06, 1947 Lima, Allen Co OH.
William’s parents were Henry Black b September 18, 1809 we think in Perry Co OH, d June 21, 1879 Ada, Hardin Co OH and Sussanna Cary b January 04, 1815, Sussex Co DE d June 21, 1892 Ada, Hardin Co OH. They had 11 children.
Margaret’s parents were Adam Like and Elizabeth Grove.
Sara Coats parents were Samuel Coats and Ellen Hinton.
