Columbus Ferdinand was born Oct. 20,1844 Breck. Co.Ky., died June 7,1926 Breck. Co. Father John Black b.abt 1818 ?tn., d.abt 1862.Mother Arthema Jane Marshall b. abt 1822 Breck. Co., died abt 1895. 1840 census had 2 males age 15-20 in Fredericks household ( ? Peter, ? Thomas ) and one male 20-30 John. Daniel,Jacob and Joseph in Breck. Co. also. 1850 Hancock Co. Census listed John 30,carpenter, Jane 27, Columbus 5, George W. 6 mo. The 1850 Breck. Co. census listed Frederick 86 Md., Susanah 76 Germany, Peter 25 Tn., Thomas 24 Tn. Frederick died in 1858. Yes, Nettie married Abraham (Mc)Meador Dec.27,1883 at the home of C.F. in Hardinsburg. Minister J.P. Goodson, Witnesses R.M. Dare and Lum Black ( Christopher Columbus son of Jacob).
