My husband's line has Columbus F. Black born about 1845 and married to Matilda. His daughter, Netta or Nettie, married a Meador. Bob's grandmother is one of their off-spring and was a Hardinsburg resident.

I had trouble reading the 1860 census, and seem to have lost Blacks there. Is your John the John married to Arthema Jane?

We are unable to get to Hardinsburg to see the local records. Is this how you linked Frederick Black to his children? Are they Jacob, John, Joseph? Where do Peter, Thomas and Daniel fit in? Are Peter and Thomas grandsons who live with Frederick in 1850?
