I'm looking for any information on family (parents, siblings, wife,
children) of Abraham Black of Greenbrier and later Cabell Co, VA/WV. He
appears in the Greenbrier Co personal property tax lists on Sinking Creek
(near the Hugharts) from about 1796-1815. He then appears in Cabell Co,
VA/WV PPTs in 1820 on. His will was written in Cabell Co on 23 Feb, 1827
and proved 26 May, 1828. Witnesses: John F. Peyton, William Jordan, John
Senton/Sexton [Cabell Co WV Will Bk1:82]

The only person mentioned by name in Abraham's will is his son, Adam whom
he names as executor. His wife is still living but not mentioned by
name. However, the copy of Abraham Black estate sale shows buyers who
were probably children including:
Adam Black
James Black
Jacob Black
Caty (Black) Huggart
Elizabeth and John Senton
James Carrell (son in law?)
Joseph Huggard (son in law?-wife Polly Black).

James Lemay, a grandson-in-law (married to Nancy Hughart, daughter of
Andrew and Catherine Black Hughart) is also listed as a buyer.
