Message Board Post:

Seeking information on David Black, born November 20, 1789, in South
Carolina and died June 22, 1857, in Cherokee County, Alabama. David's first
wife was Jane Manning. Would especially like to find a bible record for
this family.

David Black had a daughter named Aurelia Ann (Reely Ann) Black who married
Jasper Newton Gossett. Aurelia Ann Black was born October 22, 1832 in South
Carolina and died December 25, 1867 in Alabama. She married J. N. Gossett
January 28, 1858 in Floyd County, Georgia. Again, a Bible record would be
especially helpful.

David Black's father was James Black, born about 1761 in Virginia and died
after 1845, probably in South Carolina. James was married to Jenny Brown,
daughter of William Brown. James Black had a Revolutionary War Pension
request rejected because he was only out seven months. This request was
filed in Abbeville, South Carolina.

Any documentation on these family members would be appreciated.
