Thanks for the info Elizabeth. I am actually researching both the Hairston and Black family (African-Americans) so both responses were helpful. We have had much better success with the Hairston family info what with the book that was published, the 20-20 special, etc. We have determined that it is the same family line and have been able to identify our connection. Hopefully, with your leads, I can make further progress with the Black family info. Thanks again and sorry for the delay in my response!
