I am seeking information about my grandfather, James Lemuel Black, born around 1880. According to the 1920 Oklahoma census, he was born in Mississippi. I do not know who his parents were. I think they might have migrated to Alabama then to Arkansas. He married Phoebe Cotnam, who was born in Arkansas. All the offspring were born in Oklahoma, including my father, William Robert Black, the youngest of 11.
