The BLACKs in my line are also from MO...around Knox Co. My gr-gr-gr-grandparents were John Black & Sarah Taylor. Their children: Ambrose Evert, Eliza, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander, George W, John Henry "Jack", Mary Jane, unnamed infant, and another daughter. Ambrose married Pirena Eunice Funk, and they had 9 children, of whom Glenn Arla Black was my great grandfather. His son Winford Barnes Black was my grandpa.

Any chance you recognize some of these names from your line? I have other information if you think it's a possibility.
