Not sure if this is another "near" miss. My great grandfather was a William Black. In 1874 he was a ploughman on an estate outside Glasgow. In 1905 he became a railway surfaceman. Married Margaret White (or Whyte) on Dec 18, 1868 at Kirkliston. Children: William, John, Margaret, Jean, Robert McGill. and possibly 5 other children; names unknown.
