I learned that only one marriage for Thomas Jefferson Colvard is recorded for 8 Dec 1827, and it was to Ann Gribble. That answers my question concerning ties to the Mormon faith. They weren't.

Concerning Margaret Black, married to John Gribble: I learned that Margaret Black was mentioned in the will of George Black of Person Co. He died in 1801. Does anyone have any information about this George?
