I am searching for the ancestors of my Great Great Great grandfather Reuben (Matthew?) Black bn. 1771 near Gaffney S.C. I believe that this Reuben Black was in Buncombe Co. N.C. living near John and Margret Black Patterson, before moving to Cocke Co. Tn. around 1827. This Reuben Black is
belived to be the father of Matthew Black who married Marainy Ball daughter of Osborne Ball. Reuben's wife was Mary Polly (Branard?)he may have had a son named Nathan Black, If you are related to these Blacks please contact Roger Ford
