Our Black Clan came from Mecklenburg Co. NC to Montgomery Co. Alabama 1825-1827. William Black his wife Mary had the following children: James, Ann, Joseph, Rufus, Reuben, John,William and Rives/Reeves. James bought land in Pickens Co and believe he remained there instead of later migrating. William Sr. died in Montgomery Co. Where in NC does your line come from?
