My husband's family came from GA to AL about 1856. Family tradition tells us that his great great grandfather, Andrew H. Black, was the son of Robert Black. Andrew was born about 1814. He was living in Habersham Co, GA in the 1840 census and is listed in the 1850 Franklin Co, GA census. His wife was Orpha Ayers, daughter of Jedediah and Rhoda Ayers. I cannot find any proof of his father. Thought maybe you and I could compare notes.
