Message Board Post:

I have been researching the Robert Black family of Warren / Screven Counties in Georgia (with a lot of help from some wonderful Black family members).

Robert Black, b. abt May 1775, married Lavicy Bruton b. 1781, March 17, 1795 in Warren County, Georgia.

I have been working on the assumption that Robert's parents
were William Black, b. abt 1753 and Jane Tumblin abt 1753.

New evidence (to me) is from the book, "BLACK FAMILY NOTES" complied by Jack Ladson. Jr of Moultrie, GA and found in the Augusta-Richmond County Library, Greene Street, Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia.

It points to the fact that my Robert Black is a Junior. Haven't seen the hard evidence yet, but working on it.

It is also pointing toward our Black's being offspring of the South Carolina Black's. (The South Carolina Black's that come from Pennsylvania via Augusta County, Virginia and North Carolina.)

I am trying to find a connection. I have all the information from the book if anyone wants it. It is only 11 pages long, but tons of info. I am trying to loop all the names together.

Thanks,
Susan Black Davis
