Magen,

A Shot in the dark, but I have a J.W. Black who lived in Corning Arkansas. I understand there were "Blacks: in Green County too. Have no idea if they are kin. My J.W. Black was born in Williamson County, Ill. and 85 years old at death which was sometime during WWII. His obituary lists two sons,(Charles R.Black) (L.C. Black) three daughters(Mrs.M.C. Hoffman, Mrs. J.W. Baynham both of Corning, Ark.
and a Mrs. Sino Wortman of St. Louis, MO)
He had at least one sister who died in 1937 in Salt Lake City.
Caladonia Tennessee (Black) McConnell.
Let me know if this helps... tks

Bill
