"READING--Mrs. William R. Jones, a postal clerk for 25 years before she retired in 1965, died Tuesday night in St. Mary's Hospital in Emporia.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the United Methodist Church and burial will be in the Reading Cemetery. The Jones Funeral Home in Lebo is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jones was the former Edith Marie Black, daughter of Robert and Martha Sickles Black. She was born Aug. 14th, 1895, in Burlingame, and she was married on Feb. 4th, 1920, in Osage City. Mrs. Jones was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister and she is survived by her husband, of the Madison Manor Nursing Home; one son, Robert E., of New Orleans, LA; one sister, Mrs. Harry (Mae) Echols, Topeka; and two grandsons, Michael and Jeffrey Jones."
