Bob,
My entire Black family were all born in Ballisodare. They left Ireland in either 1850 or 1851 where they settled in Dundee Scotland. The 1851 Dundee census did show me a lot of information about the family I had not previously known. This was found on the LDS microfilm #1042222, ED 77, page 14, house #40. At that time my GGGrandfather, Charles was 1 year old and his brother John Black was 20. I have continued tracing this line and found that Charles had married Margaret Roberts in 1868 and came to the U.S. in 1872. I have not even tried to trace Charles brother John since the 1851 census. Sometime in the future I will probably give that a try along with tracing their other brothers and sisters. John and Charles mother's name was Elizabeth Hart, if that's any help.
Bob
