I have been told that myggrandmother was part Indian............Her mother was Parthenia Black b KYabt 1826 daughter of William (b abt 1802 KY) and Anna Black living in IL 1850. Parthenia married John A. Robbins 1850.

I found papers dated 1856 for Polly Ann Robbins and Jospeh Brown re Woodrow R Robbins b1851 minor heir of Hiram J. Robbins.

My ggrandmother married and went to Alberta CAN between 1897 and 1902. I read somewhere that a lot of .people with the BLACK surname went to Alberta about that year
