Moses Black, born circa 1770-80. Listed in 1810, 1820 and 1830 Census in Rutherford County NC. On NC militia muster rolls for War of 1812 (7th Regiment, Rutherford County, Second Company under Capt. Abraham Irvin). No official documents, however secondary family sources indicate Moses married Patience Condrey. Children: James, Rachel Jane, Rhoda, Polly, possibly one other daughter and one other son. A sibling, Laban, apparently migrated to Arkansas in the early 1800s. The 1830 Rutherford Census indicated both Moses and Patience were born between 1770-80. In a later Cleveland County NC Census, James indicates both his parents were born in North Carolina (possibly Old Rutherford County). Seeking parents of Moses as well as his marriage date, death date, place of burial.
