Hi,
I bleong to a branch of Blacks that moved to California after some
decades in Waldron, Ark. My grandfather is Harvey Clayton Black
(b;1916), son of Altie Black (b:~1880s), and grandson of Harvey Clayton
Black. My grandfather had a brother, Newsom, who remained in Waldron
until his passing a several years ago. He also had two sisters, Laverne
("Dolly") and Etha.
My grandfather, grandmother, and my grandmothers five sisters all
migrated to California sometime in the 1940s or 1950s. They landed in
Modesto.
My grandmother came from the Scarborough family, also of Waldron. I also
have relations in the Bailey and Goss lines. If any of this sounds
familiar, shoot me a line.
Thanks, and Best Regards,
David Hanley
