Dear List:

I missed the first post on this subject, but had to take time to comment.
Ironically, just about 5 weeks ago, my husband and I were returning from the
East Coast and saw a sign "Sam Black Church". Since my maiden name was
BLACK and I have been working that genealogy, we were intrigued and decided
to take a side trip. We were traveling on I-64 in Greenbrier Co., WV and
approximately a mile off the highway we found the large State informational
marker and Sam Black United Methodist Church. I did take a picture of the
sign and of the church. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to scan
and send the the pictures. Just e-mail me personally at the following
address:

Also, does anyone know which BLACK line Rev Sam Black (1813-1899) is
connected to?

Jan
