Are you my cousin, Mary Ellen Bednarek? How wonderful to hear from you. I posted that message some time ago in hopes that someone might have some info. I truly have nothing. I was wondering if she was an only child.

A couple years ago, a couple of my sisters, along with your mom and my mom did a mini tour of Montello, graveyards and the such, old homesteads, etc. I think that's when I heard that Margaret Bernadine Black was considered quite the "Belle of the Ball". I became curious about getting more info about her, but you've been my first and only response, and it sounds like you've got more info than I have.

It was nice to hear from you. I sat with your sisters, Annabelle and Fran at your niece, Michelle's wedding. Do you have my regular e-mail address now? Keep in touch. I sometimes don't check my mail for a couple weeks at a time, so was happy that today when I checked, your message was so current. - Colleen
