To both Lisa and Donald. I have been working on this line for over 40 years and I can't get past Aaron either. According to the 1850 census of Johnson County, Illinois, Aaron's father was born in Virginia. I don't think there is any truth to the story about being a lord in England. Family legend has it that Beada lived to be 104 years old but the records say different. In 1850 she was 19; in 1860 she was 26; in 1880 she was 50; in 1910 she was 85; she died before 1920 and she was supposed over 100. You do the math. I would like to know both of you and know how you are related to me. Aaron was my gg grandfather. His oldest son Stephen C. was my ggrandfather and his oldest son Thomas Jefferson was my grandfather and his oldest son William Alvin was my father.
