I am researching my grandfather, William Steven Black, who lived in Texas. Born around 1888 or so, died in Waco, Texas sometime before 1950. Married to Olive McCarty (daughter of James Duncan McCarty). William Steven Black (Bill) was survived by several brothers living in or around the Waco area; he was also survived by a married sister and his mother, who I think lived in Palestine, Texas or in Alice.

At some point, William lived in Galveston and then in Borger, Texas. Died in Waco. My father never met any of the Black family, as my grandmother forebade him to know them. Apparently a fmaily fued of some type. But I'm looking for them, nonetheless.
