Surname: Black, Blend, Baumann, Myers
-------------------------
Do you know what area they lived in? My g-gf Ralph (Isaac) Black, b. NYC
1876 had 2 brothers. They were from Bklyn. The brothers were Wm. E. and
Arthur L.
I don't know how much research you've done on your Black line, but the
surname was pretty plentiful in both NY and NJ, even in the mid 1800s.
You will probably need to pinpoint the location more, or come up with the
given name via your great aunt's death certificate or something.
NYC does have marriage indexes for that timeframe for most of the boroughs
on microfilm via the LDS libraries.
There are marriage indexes which are numerical by year, then by marriage
cert. #, and there are also bride indexes and groom indexes that are by
surname soundex code for a given range of years.
