>From the BUTLER CITIZEN, Butler, PA, 22 July 1914:
SAMUEL BLACK -- Samuel Black, aged 26, son of Mrs. Olive Black of Parkers
Landing, died at a Wheeling hospital Monday morning. Mr. Black had been
employed in the oil fields of West Virginia, where he contracted typhoid
fever and was removed to a Wheeling hospital. He is survived by his mother
and the following brothers and sisters: Fred of Mannington, W. Va.; Claude
of Tarentum; Frank of Connellsville; Arthur and Roy, at home; Mrs. Sam
Morgan of Greensburg; Mrs. Arthur Coe and Mrs. Taylor Morgan of Parkers
Landing. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the family
residence at Parker. Interment in Parker cemetery.
