Seeking parents of Charlie Franklyn Black (b.2-25-1873,Houston Co. Texas.
Died 4-10-1968), my g-father. Married Tennie Melinda Culpepper(b.3-31-1875,
d.10-1-1963)Aug. 24, 1892 in Mobile, Texas (Tyler Co.) Also lived in Chester
(Houston Co., Jasper Co. Texas. The unconfirmed family history says that
Charlie was born Charlie Franklyn Massengill and that his father died when
Charlie was a young boy and that his mother remarried a man named Virgil
Black, and that is the name we have today. Any help would be appreciated.
