Good luck! I also have a lot of research on the Black family and have seen
a lot of data on William and John Sr. of Montgomery Co. VA. Try looking in
Chalkey's Chronicles at www.rootsweb.com/~chalkey/ There are three volumes
and they are quite extensive and should provide some good leads for you. The
research will take some time. I am at work now but I think I may have a
little more on your John Jr. at home. Will try to look when I return home
this evening. I am descended from another John Black, born 1750, (son of
James of course!) who married Millie Norton. The two families are related
in some way... Sure would be easier if our ancestors had been a little more
creative in naming their offspring! If I see another James, John, or
William I'm going to scream!
