Hi Listers, I am trying to learn more about James Sebourne Black, his
descendants, siblings and ancestors. (His middle name is sometimes written
"Seaborn".)

According to information from the Sloan mailing list, he was born in KY in
1810, and died in Ouachita Co., AR, in 1857. He married, probably in AR,
Caroline Missouri Sloan (ca. 1818-1882).

We believe they had a daughter, Margaret Jeanne Black, who married James
Madison Brown. This couple had a son, Madison Sloan Brown, born ca. 1875.

This Brown family eventually wound up in Oklahoma City.

Does this ring a bell with any of you? Our Black line ends with Margaret
Jeanne, but we would love to pin down her dates, identify her siblings, etc.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Rick Sherman, Kensington, CA.
