Moses Black, apparently born circa 1770-1780 in Old Tryon County NC. Married
Patience Condrey. Children included James, Rachel, Rhoda (Polly). A possible
brother, Laban, reportedly migrated to Arkansas about 1800. Moses was on
the NC Militia list for War of 1812 in Rutherford County NC. Appears in
Census of 1800, 1810, 1820 and 1830 in Rutherford County. Date of death,
place of burial unknown. Seeking parents of Moses.
