Surname: Black, Dimmick
-------------------------

I am searching for the parents and siblings of JOSEPH PENN BLACK born around
1832 in IL. His father was from KY and mother from OH. The earlest documented
information I have on Joseph is from his daily log's of a trip he made
from IL. to Calif. in 1850 to mine the gold fields. By January 1854 he
was back in northern IL/southern Wis. and married Lucy Jane Dimmick of
Jo Daviess Co. IL. NO mention of his parents names was on the marriage
certificate which leaves me to beleive that either his parents were dead
by 1854 or not living in that area. Could your Joesph Jr. be my Joseph
Penn Black? Please respond to
