Doni, I have an ancestor by the name of John B. Black, who was born around
1852 in Mississippi (according to the 1870 Census for Anderson Co. TX).
In 1870 in Anderson Co. TX he was living in the household of Lafayett (25,
from GA) and Martha (21, from AL) Majors; others in the household were
Alonzo Black (15, from LA), Mary Black (14, from LA), and Elias Black (5,
from TX). Next door was a Thomas (58)and Lydia (56) Black family, with
Nathaniel (23, from AL) and Amanda Black (16, from TX). I wonder if your
John Black with a son named John Black could be related. Please send me
more information about your John Blacks.
