Hi there, I am new to this list, and am looking for any interest in the Black family from Tynron Dumfries Scotland. My Gt Grandfather George Black came to Australia in the 1840's with his sister Agnes (George was 15 and Agnes was 21), They settled at Blayney Australia in. They were sponsored by their older brother John who had come out a little earlier. Other siblings followed, they were William and possibly Mary.
Their parents stayed in Scotland, they were George Black (B: 1841 Tynron) and Ann Sharp (George was a blacksmith, as was his father Robert born )
I have been searching this family for some time now, any contact with interested researchers would be welcomed.
