I'm still looking for information on Henry Black b ca 1801,
KY-m. Dicey Brown in Oldham Co, KY in 1832.

I received the following information from another Black
researcher but I have been unable to document it.

<<Just a passing note of interest. I recalled that you are
descended from Henry Black born @ 1801 in KY. I have seen
where a Henry was born in Muhlenburg Co., Ky. in 1801, son
of Robert Black who was born 1774 in N. Car. and died in Ky.
in 1838 and his wife was Lucy Rice born @ 1767 in VA. If I
recall the Rice name carried into your Black family. This
may or may not be of any
help. >>

I think there is a very good possibility that this could be
my Henry Black's
parents but would like documentation on it. Is any one else
researching this line?

I ordered probate papers on Robert Black but there was
nothing on it to prove my Henry was his son.

Henry and Dicey had the following children:

Jennings Co, IN.
George b ca 1835, KY-m. Serilda Jane Barr Jun 1857, Jennings
Co, IN.

Effingham Co., IL.
Henry b ca 1842, KY
John b ca 1846, IN
Daniel b ca 1847, IN-m. Elvina F. ____?
Rice b ca 1848, IN
Martha Ann b 1850, IN
Benjamin Franklin b ca 1852, IN-m. Malissa _____?
Joshua b ca 1854, IN.
