Does anyone have a NY Isaac Black in their family, probably circa 1850's?
My mother told me today, that my g-grandfather, Isaac Raphael (Ralph) Black
was named after an uncle, and HATED the Isaac - that's why he went by Ralph.

I'm thinking the uncle may have been on his mother's side, as she was a
Myers, and Isaac is more typically Jewish, but thought I'd give it a shot.

were married more than once.)
