BLACK Nevin M., longtime Tulsa resident, passed away in Tahlequah on Tuesday,
August 29. He was 85. Nevin was born in Medford, OK on October 22, 1914.
He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member
of the American Legion, served as commander and a member of the VFW and
32nd Degree Mason. He retired after a career of Reporter for the Tulsa
Tribune. Surviving are his wife, Thelma of the home; a niece, Janice Straley
of Aurora, CO; nephew, Ray Black of North Ridge, CA. Memorial service will
be held at the Cookson Baptist Church in Cookson, OK on Friday, September
1 at 10 a.m. Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. the same day at Memorial
Park Cemetery. Moore's Rosewood Chapel, 744-1202.
