Am looking for a WIlliam David Black-Born before 1800's,in Tenn. Had 2
sons Thomas who went west and was never heard from again. John Haywood
Black:b 9-28-1814-d:10-1899. Married Emeline E. Stubbins in Springhill,Maury
Co. Tenn. on 2-22-1838. Was supposed to be Cherokee indian. William David
Black was in the forced march of the Trail of Tears. John Haywood Black,
along with the entire Black family moved with him, The tribe stopped for
the winter in Maury Co, Tenn.
This is went John Haywood Black, left the tribe and married Stubbins, later
moving to Washington Co, MO. William and the rest of the tribe were supposed
to have gone on down into Okla to the reservation. William David Black
might have married an ?Armstrong, in Tenn. If you have any ideas, Help!!
