hello everyone.

i am trying to find the ancestry of William Black. He was listed in the
1850 Census of Valencia County (now Socorro County) at Fort Conrad. He was
from Missouri and was born about 1827.

In 1852/3, Julián Blax (Julián & Guillermo are Spanish translation for
William) applied to marry Juana María Chávez, daughter of José Doroteo
Chávez and María Isabel Sedillo of Socorro.

This couple had 2 children, Anna Black, born in 1853 (whom married Anselmo
Melendres on 27 Nov 1875, entry listed in the San Ignacio y San Cristóbal
Catholic Church in the parish of San Miguel del Socorro) and Guillermo
(William) Black, born in 1855 (whom married his second and third cousin,
Mauricia Chávez on 19 Nov 1878 in San Antonio, entry listed in San Miguel
del Socorro Catholic Church).

Any one researching the Black surname in Missouri, or is anyone had a
William Black born about 1827 and listed into the US Army? I am waiting for
the wedding investigation to see if parents are listed.

Look forward to any replies. Bye,

Sam-Quito
