Hi.
I am new to the list. I would like to make contact with any one
researching Cocke County Tennessee Blacks. My mother is a Black and I have
our line back to a Matthew Black, bn. Aug. 6 1807. Matthew married Maranie
Ball bn. may 25 1808.
Matthew Blacks father may have been Ruben Black bn. 1771 Guffney SC. Ruben
married a Polly? bn. 1778 These Blacks lived in westeren North Carolina
before moving to East Tennessee.
